![]() ![]() ![]() Her latest work, a short story collection titled The Man Who Wore His Wife’s Sarong, includes Mei Kwei, I Love You, which was final-listed for The Private Eye Writers of America SHAMUS Award 2015. Suchen’s novel, Fistful of Colours, was awarded the inaugural Singapore Literature Prize in 1992, and was chosen as one of “10 classic Singapore novels” by The Sunday Times. She was also the visiting Fellow in Creative Writing at Nanyang Technological University. In 2000, she became the university’s International Writer in Residence and later she was a Writing Tutor in Moniack Mhor, the Arvon Foundation's Centre in Scotland. Since then, she has held residences in the UK, Australia, S.Korea, Myanmar and the Philippines. ![]() Having been awarded the Fullbright grant, she went on to become an International Writing Fellow of the University of Iowa in 1996. Suchen Christine Lim has published 5 novels, 2 short-story collections, 15 children’s books, a play and a non-fiction work. ![]()
